The Additive Manufacturing (AM) Conference is all about industry experts sharing knowledge and ideas. It also provides a platform for researchers and analysts to keep abreast of the very latest industry developments.
The aim of the event was to feature the state-of-the-art in Additive Manufacturing, while presenting both the successes and needs of leading technology adopters. This was done using a select group of speakers, addressing key issues facing the evolving additive manufacturing industry.
For HP 3D Printing, attending key industry events such as the Additive Manufacturing Conference, in Nottingham, UK, is the best way to share information and get feedback from industry experts.
HP recently announced our participation in the formation of the 3MF Consortium. As part of our efforts to share and promote understanding about 3MF, Luis Baldez, HP 3D printing Software Strategy Program Manager, delivered a session together with another key founding member – Alexander Oster, of netfabb GmbH, about the 3MF Consortium, the 3MF format and its importance for industry growth. Baldez states that “3MF will allow companies and individuals to focus on innovation, not file fixing”.
For HP, industry leadership means dedication to standardized open platforms. This is a key step forward that will ultimately enable the 3D printing industry to grow and prosper.
Our primary goal is to move the industry forward, combining the best of HP technology innovation with that of forward-thinking partners to advance 3D software and materials development.
