HP’s Windows 8 Appdate: Good Game Picks

Since Windows 8 Launched, I’ve been doing my part to test it. So, in the name of “work,” I continue downloading the games available in the Windows 8 App store. (I’ve already done a number of stories about Win 8 apps on the blog, but what you’re going to find below is a quick hit list of titles I’ve come across worth checking out.)

That new computer you got sometimes comes with pre-installed software that’s really neat – and you might use often. Other times, you’ll just search-and-destroy anything outside the basics and tag everything as bloatware. I’m here to tell you that there are some apps you should keep – and why. And, in the process, I’m also going to show you a couple HP-centric apps in the Win 8 app store right now that you can (and should) go and download right now – for free!

HP’s Awesome Win 8 Recipe App

I think we can all agree that finding a great recipe on line isn’t difficult, but remembering where we found it when we want to make it again is the tricky part!  This is where HP’s Recipe Box app comes in handy. It’s an application that HP developed specifically for the TouchSmart PC back for earlier versions of Windows. However, with Windows 8, we added a whole bunch of extra functionality that makes me want to cook more!

First, I started compiling my favorite Windows 8 tips – y’know, since I’ve been playing with it for a while now. 2-Hour Twitter #WinChat Today!

Over the past couple weeks, we’ve been talking about Windows 8. A lot. After all, we’ve got a bunch of sweet new computers coming out that take full advantage of the new OS. And to make sure that customers who use HP products can take full advantage of the new level of computing power, HP is introducing a lineup of support tools and resources that are easy to access, simple to use and, in most cases, free of charge.
