The Story of Julie West

juliewest Design can be as important as technology when it comes to personal computers. This is the final interview in a four part interview series with the artists who created exclusive wallpaper designs for HP. Although Julie West started out using traditional tools, almost half of her art today is made with digital tools, or a combination of the two. Often quirky, bizarre, or ironic, her work examines the way people live and define themselves and the environments they create. My favorite quote from the interview – “I think my inspiration primarily comes from watching the situations people find themselves in and how they react. In some ways, I think my work is like a photograph."

She creates art for a long list of notable galleries and shops all over the U.S. and abroad.” My favorite quote from the interview – “If someone really wants a painting of mine, I want them to have it regardless of cost.”
