You’ve probably seen a ton of stories circulating around a certain new OS from Microsoft…and new PCs that’ll be supporting it. Well, if you’re hot for the switch and on the market for a new PC, I wanted to clue you in on which HP models you can order right now. That way, when October 26th rolls around, you can just dig in and start playing with your new computer.

Let me be clear: The following computers are a sampling of what’s now available for pre order. These should get to you by the day Windows 8 launches if you order soon.

Are the ENVY dv6, dv7, Phoenix h9, and h8 just rebranded versions (with Win8 of course) of the Pavilion PCs that are out now? I am thinking yes, because from what I understand, Pavilion is now the entry-level, Envy is mainstream (rather than high-end), and Spectre is high-end. Just wanted to check.

You mean besides the new components and Windows 8, ya mean?

I like to think of the ENVY still as higher-end while the Spectre is the top line....if that helps.
