Set your DVRs and get ready – it’s that time of year again.
Project Runway 8 starts tonight!
I, for one, have been eagerly awaiting this ever since Seth Aaron stormed Bryant Park with his ultra-cool military-inspired collection in the Season 7 finale. Now, 17 new and aspiring designers are coming together to see if they can make it to the top through unique and challenging creative tasks.
As some of you may recall, in the HP and Intel design challenge last season, contestants were asked to create their own custom-pattern fabrics using the HP TouchSmart, which they then turned into breathtaking original pieces.

Not only am I excited to see what kind of mind-benders are in store for the new cast (who knew burlap sacks could be so chic last season?), I’m also thrilled to share that HP has reunited with Project Runway for a second season of techie design innovation!
Throughout the season, the designers will be trading in their pens and sketchpads for HP TouchSmart tm2 notebooks powered by Intel i5 processors to bring their visions to life in a whole new way. For a sneak-peek at the upcoming season, take a look at our Flickr album.
What were some of your favorite designers and challenges from last season, or from other past seasons? I can’t wait to hear your opinions on who makes the cut!
