Who is your favorite fashion designer?

by Ells(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 12:56 PM

Mondo it's the best designer in this season.....So,i have a question, would you please tell me what program the contestants use for sketching?

by bryan(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 01:37 PM

In an interview, when questioned about her rivalry with Michael C and the "throwing him under the bus" period, Ivy stated that when the cameras were off, Michael C would occasionally patronize other contestants. To all the designers, except Michael C, was this statement true?

What would you think about a 65 year old designer being on Project Runway? Do you think s/he might have a problem learning to use the new HP program? And finally, one last question...What does that software cost?
by Ray V(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 01:40 PM

I am a huge fan of Michael's. His super short black dress that he made, which made him comeback from a bad week to be the challenge winner, was one of my favorite dresses from the past few seasons. So, my question is for Michael.

How did you come back from a week which everyone on your "team" turned on you although you had immunity? What do you focus on and what are some unconventional places you draw inspiration and your drive from??

by Stevie Shakes(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 01:59 PM

What is a dream/goal you hope to achieve as a fashion designer?

i've been watching every episode of pj

and noticed something, why do some of the contestants not like  michael c?

by She likes Elephants(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 02:01 PM

Why did Gretchen take such a dislike to Michael C from the beginning?

Why did she think getting others involved was a good idea?

She has made it so uncomftable to watch at times.  She is not unique in any way and her style is not something I would wear.  Plus Michael C. has made some really nice stuff and won a couple of challenges  Her dislike of him has only made her more of a spectacal and not a good one at that.  I think she should be voted off just for her attitude and wasting time someone else could have had.  Go bad to the program being about fashion and young designers.  This year it seems to be about personalities and it is hard to watch a human train wreck such as it has been.

by Mel(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 02:15 PM

I think it was the Jackie O challenge that Tim added an outerwear piece to your look in the 9th hour.  Micheal Kors said to one of the contestants that the outerwear looked like an afterthought.  Do you ever want to say "Duh, it was an afterthought, thanks to you?!"

by sewcatie(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 02:24 PM

I know that the runway is all about the rail thin models, but nobody really wears those sizes, outsize of an elite 1%.  In the past the show used family members that were diverse sizes.  As a Plus-plus sized woman I would love to see a plus-plus size model challenge.  It is easy to build a pleasing silhouette on a rail thin person.  But to guild a flattering silhouette on a challenging form is something different.  There are companies that make larger forms that you could use as marketing/advertising and they could reach a wider range of customer...

Most of all I would just like to see what the designers do with non-traditional models... Tim needs to remind them to stay way from the mumu! :smileyhappy:

by Bonnie_from Denver_(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 02:48 PM

Mondo, what do you consider your source of inspiration? Is there anything in particular about Denver itself that you find inspiring? This one is for Gretchen - why are you so judgmental?  For the group - why does almost everyone seem to have it in for Michael C.?

by Meredith C(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 02:59 PM

Do you get breaks at all, like a day off?

How do the interview/confession sessions factor into your work time?

If you could pick one designer to win, besides yourself, who would it be?

by annemarie(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 02:59 PM

How do you stay creative when you are also being judged on technical - logical brain vs creative brain??

by Laur(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 03:03 PM

A lot has been made of "designers who can't sew" and who should or shouldn't "be here". Nonetheless, the same people who were dissed by other contestants were praised (more than once) for their "construction skills" by the judges. I don't understand this. Creative differences aside, it seems to me that technical skills are not something that is a matter of opinion. It's either well constructed and finished or it is not. From the audience point of view it is very hard to judge for oneself, as we do not see close-ups of the garments and of course what we DO see is so 2-dimensional. This issue has been the biggest controversy on the show and yet the audience is completely in the dark as the specifics have not been well described.

Could you shed some light on this issue?

by ron simpson(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 03:10 PM

After searching and searching and asking in multiple ways, I cannot find it.

PLEASE....what is the software the designers are using on their computers and WHERE can I acquire it?

Thanks! Love that HP and PR are still together. It makes this fashion geek very happy.

by carriejean(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 03:29 PM

I've been watching "P R" since the first year. I've never heard the judges be so rude, self absorbed and all over the map in their judging as they are this year. I can't imagine standing on that catwalk and being laughed at for your hard work. Is most of the drama due to  editing or is that really how the judges are at that moment?

by Wendy(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 03:33 PM

In the last episode Mondo won $20,000 and the designers interviewed said they have little to no money in their personal accounts. I'm assuming that this show gives the designers opportunities to experience tools and technology they would not normally have access to and probably can not afford. I would like to know what the designers favorite tools or technology were during this season. If they had the means to, what one tool or technology would they purchase to use when they go home?

by Meryl Alexander(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 03:38 PM

Looking back on it, do you feel bad or foolish about how you treated Michael Costello? After all, he has won two challenges, so he proved most of you wrong.

by Lisa Hansen(anon) on ‎09-30-2010 03:44 PM

Group - Do you get financial compensation for being on the show? It seemed like a lot of people were desperate for 20,000.00.
