We brought a taste of Brazil to the U.S. with the launch of our newest fashion collaboration! Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch traveled to NYC to share his co-designed special edition HP Pavilion dm1 notebook with the fashionable bloggers of the Style Coalition (@stylecoalition).
Over caipirinhas and pão de queijo, the stylish ladies checked out the intricate lace-inspired pattern on the notebook, coordinating sleeve and mouse. Alexandre also showcased a gold lace dress from his 2012 winter/autumn collection – the perfect outfit to pair with the gold toned notebook.
Alexandre shared stories from his 15-plus years as a designer, including recently serving as a mentor on the Brazilian version of Project Runway. He was so impressed by one of the show’s contestants that he hired the young designer hours after his elimination!
HP has worked with a stunning list of collaborators – including Marchesa, Vivienne Tam and Tord Boontje – but as a fellow Brazilian, I was particularly excited to meet Alexandre. He motivated me to brush up on my Portuguese…
