PageWide Web Press delivers its best drupa ever!

I left drupa feeling incredibly proud. The PageWide Web Press team demonstrated industry-leading innovation and world-class execution, while delivering a quality experience for our visitors. This reflects HP’s ongoing commitment to excellence in everything we do.

 

PageWide Web Press was the only inkjet press running continuously throughout the show, effectively constituting a “commercial printing facility.”  After 11 days of production, the results are truly impressive:

 

  • Nearly 1,800 miles (3,000 kilometers) of printed media
  • 130 print jobs across 66 different applications
  • 51 media types from 20 paper mills

 

Printed output included high-quality posters, magazines, books, maps, and much more. Printed rolls were distributed to seven HP SmartStream finishing partners for quick delivery back to Hall 17.  No other exhibitor came close to demonstrating these type of end-to-end printing and finishing solutions.  PageWide Web Press simply delivered "available today” industry-leading quality, 8700 page-per-minute productivity, and broad-range media versatility!  The business results were also tangible with the announcement of some major customer orders such as an HP PageWide Web Press T490M HD for Kadokawa, an HP PageWide T1100S Press for Ghelfi, an HP PageWide T400S Press for Hinojosa, and more.

 

HP PageWide T1100S for corrugated at KBA HQ.pngIn addition to activities on the stand, several other customer events were held in parallel, including Jetcomm at drupa and two corrugated packaging “Big Events”. A few hours away from drupa, corrugated packaging converters from around the world were amazed to personally see the T1100S with its first-of-its-kind “corrugator-level productivity” and all the advantages of digital. HP also hosted more than a dozen executives from some of the world’s biggest brands who had come from near and far to learn what digital preprint could mean for their marketing campaigns.

 

drupa was a great experience for PageWide Web Press customers, partners and industry colleagues and it set the stage for reinventing print possibilities.
