Corrugated Professionals Come Together for an Eventful Digital Experience

The latest digital print solutions for corrugated event brought almost 60 people from over 20 companies to the HP Graphics Experience Center outside Atlanta, Georgia.  In addition to popular social and networking events, guests were treated to live demonstrations and breakout sessions with industry experts covering the most successful brand campaigns, evolving digital print business models and the latest industry trends.  

 

Robert Seay, HP AMS Sales and Business Development Manager, kicked off the event with a welcome session reiterating HP’s ongoing commitment to innovation for the corrugated packaging industry followed by a Corrugated Industry Panel Discussion highlighting recent and future trends.  The panel discussion was met with great feedback and more importantly helped everyone get into the digital mindset.

 

 

“Digital Print – The Bigger Spectrum”, by WW Marketing Manager Simon Goldsack,  was a nice addition to the event, presenting an impressive overview of the possibilities enabled by digital print.  With a focus on corrugated, campaigns were highlighted where brands connected directly to consumers using the unique capabilities and value-added features of digital print.

 

While Simon’s presentation was a real “eye-opener”, nothing makes an impression like hearing it straight from a fellow customer.  HP customers from leading corrugated converters presented their digital journeys including the challenges of implementing digital and what digital has done for their businesses today.   They also emphasized the importance of adapting a “digital mindset” and the benefits of putting proper training programs in place.

 

After that, it was time to head over to the Graphics Experience Center where demos and technical sessions were given covering both presses and workflow solutions. The following day Doris Brown-McNally, WW Brands Business Development Manager, described how HP is engaging brands and showcased selected campaigns created using HP digital technology.  The session helped the visitors realize how they can really reinvent their possibilities with HP digital print and - literally left the audience calling for more.  

 

 

One of the more popular sessions was Digital Economics presented by Corrugated Account Manager Eddie Sayers and AMS Corrugated Sales Manager Stephen Shannon.   The audience was captivated by their deep dive into the business models enabled by HP digital corrugated printing solutions and guidelines for properly calculating ROI.

 

As the event came to a close, visitor comments ranged from “Exceeded Expectations on all levels” to “Blown Away and want to learn more!”.    From the results of the HP corrugated summit it seems pretty clear that targeted open house and Experience Center events are great opportunities to see the latest digital print technologies at work and hear directly from industry how they are succeeding in digital.
