Buying vanilla extract at the store is spendy, and for whatever reason a lot of the brands out there add corn syrup to their mixture. Well, let's just skip all that and make our own. We use a lot of vanilla in our home to make my no refined sugar granola (it's delicious), so this has been great for us! Just follow this recipe I use on my blog, then use the free printouts below to make the labels pretty!
Prep your vanilla extract following this recipe from The Paper Mama blog (it’s just 2 ingredients).
Print out the vanilla labels on your sticker printout sheet.
Cut out the labels with your 1.5 inch diameter circle punch.
Peel and stick the labels onto the bottle.
Tip #1: Dark bottles are typically used because the vanilla extract could go bad if exposed to too much light.
Date your vanilla (it needs about 6 - 8 weeks to soak and prep).
If you want to give this as a gift, tie a pretty bow around the bottle and give this to the baker in your family!
I provided additional labels for you to use. Put your bulk spices into pretty bottles and add the labels I provided! Just follow all the steps above, and write out the name of the extract or spice using a pen. There are small and large labels (depending on the size of your bottles).
If you personalize these labels, we’d love to see what you make! Share some photos in our Idea Exchange!
