DscoopX - the Power of Community

by Vivian Cohen-Leisorek

Four days after we closed DscoopX in Washington DC, by Inbox is filled with emails from colleagues, partners and customers sharing their experiences, thanking each other for their time and hard work and following up on meetings, adding requests for introductions and samples, or simply reconnecting before transitioning back to our daily routine. I'm also catching up on what the media and analysts are saying, such as Barb Pellow talking about DscoopX on the Infotrends Blog.

I am writing these lines at the airport, preparing for a long flight back to “real life.”  After every Dscoop conference I come back inspired, connected (and exhausted) – but after this one I am also taking back a sense of renewed opportunity that only a 10-year perspective can bring you.

So as I begin to follow up on emails, sort out the business cards and photos, I will also take a few minutes to summarize my takeaways from both the “back end” (such as takeaways from the sessions I was involved in planning or delivering) and “front end” (such my conversations with partners, Dscoop Board and particularly, our customers).  The collective wisdom of a 2500+ crowd is not something that I want to miss out.

After all, we have a busy few months ahead. Next stop: Dscoop EMEA conference in June.
