New HP t610 Packs a Punch with Security and Performance

Compact but mighty HP thin clients enable small businesses to connect from many locations and use the same software, saving money and ensuring data is secure. That’s why HP continues to update its thin client lines, now adding the t610 Flexible Thin Client Series for even more security and performance.

thin client family.pngAmong its many features, the HP t610 offers major security options for small businesses that protect the data sent over the device. It is the first thin client in the industry to incorporate the standard known as BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) security to comply with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security recommendations. It also features an on-board Trusted Platform Module (TPM) of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG). This is an integrated cryptographic security chip that ensures only authorized people have access to the networks.

The HP t610 also packs a punch in performance, running on a dual-core AMD G-series Fusion processor and AMD HD graphics. It works with major operating systems - Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows Embedded Standard 2009 and HP Thin Pro thin-client enhanced Linux. It includes a HP Smart Zero Client version for zero-touch management.

So take the HP t610 Flexible Thin Client series, launched today, add it to a small business that needs to extend its computing reach and capability and the result might be similar to the world-class setup the team of creative automobile design gurus from West Coast Customs® of Corona, California know very well. By placing the HP t610 thin clients around the West Coast Customs facility, the team of auto customizers can connect to the powerful, high-end HP workstations that are off the shop floor via thin clients. The HP t610s will allow more team members in more places to connect to the same design and business applications from their bays and do it cost-effectively.

HP also announced today the HP t510 Thin Client, another flexible thin client with a dual-core processor which can support up to two screens. HP now offers two thin client platforms with dual-core processors, increasing the performance line-up of thin client platforms.
