If you follow computing trends, then you’ve likely noticed that sleek, all-in-one PCs are cropping up in businesses of all sizes as workspaces grow smaller. Today, HP announced two all-in-one desktops that feature the latest features and technology you’d typically find in a PC tower and monitor combo, all packed in to a compact form factor that won’t add bulk to cramped offices. The new top-of-the-line HP Compaq Elite 8300 AiO and midrange HP Compaq Pro 6300 AiO join the affordable HP Compaq Pro 4300 AiO to round out a complete HP portfolio of all-in-one PCs for any business.
We’ve talked about all-in-one PCs on the blog before, but what makes these different? These all-in-ones are specifically designed for business users and incorporate a tool-less panel that is easier to open to swap out or upgrade components. The new all-in-ones with an optional mounting stand are also more adjustable, with tilt and pivot to allow all your employees to work comfortably. They can even toggle back and forth from landscape to portrait mode.
With optional touch technology, the Elite 8300 is a perfect customer-facing solution for retail and healthcare. We’ve seen our all-in-ones used in a number of offices with unique computing scenarios, including the University of Texas Health Science Dental Lab, which mounted HP All-in-One PCs such as the TouchSmart Elite 7320 to moveable arms directly into more than 300 dental chairs. The sleek and light PCs make it easy for students to analyze dental scans and access records without leaving their patient’s side.
As for the specs, these all-in-ones are equipped with powerful, third-generation Intel Core processors and Intel HD Graphics or a choice of discrete graphics for great visual performance. They also have HP BIOS Protection that prevents malware and viruses and has the ability to self-heal during a power failure. Full HD displays, built-in 2 megapixel webcams and SRS Premium Sound PRO make sure that the new business-focused designs don’t sacrifice multimedia performance.
